I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and great New Year.

Hogmanay was always the best night in the Wilson household of yesteryear and nothing’s changed in current times.

And a few words from me, as Chair of Arsenal Scotland

I hope you and yours have an excellent Festive Season and a great New Year and keep safe and healthy.

Its been an ‘interesting’ season so far! I’m the eternal optimist and I think that with the young talent in the team the future is bright – I think something special is happening at our club. Realistically we will find it difficult to compete with the teams that are sponsored by money from dubious sources, I just want our club to continue doing things The Arsenal Way.

I would like to thank you all for helping getting ASSC back on its feet after the disruption of COVID.  One of the most gratifying things is the ASSC community regrouping and discussing all things Arsenal and importantly going to games – thanks to our ticketing team.

I’m not going to name people individually because it has been a great team by everyone – all in their own time – thanks.  But a special mention of the excellent teamwork by Team Lukas and the distribution of gift boxes to well deserving causes – it really highlights the soul of ASSC.

I will be standing down as Chair at the next AGM, it has been a great privilege being involved with ASSC. Therefore we will be looking for someone to take over the role, it’s a brilliant job and I encourage anyone that is interested to put their name forward.

I’m always available if anyone wants to talk it through with me.

So have a great Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!
