Welcome to the Arsenal Scotland blog page. Being given the opportunity to talk publicly about something you hold dear is a rare opportunity and in this case one that I feel very privileged to do. I will post messages weekly and where possible after each game. I hope to not only comment on the game itself but also share with you my thoughts on the world of Arsenal and the issues of greater footballing world.
The most recent posts will always appear on the front page and historical posts can be viewed from this page by clicking the blog titles below.
I always enjoy hearing views from other football fans and would be happy to hear from you at

It has been a long summer with the world cup, familiar hype around transfer dealings and the stop start nature of the domestic season due to International breaks. So despite a lot of changes, my first blog of the season shall focus on the ever familiar situation that Arsenal now find themselves in.

It is times like this that can leave feeling really let down by the club that you follow. since our elimination at the hands of Barcelona, our season appears to have crumbled and we can only be thankful that 3rd was almost certain at that point, despite our best efforts to lose that as well.
Having finally made it back from Kiev after nature did its best to ensure I remained there, it appears that our season despite the ongoing drama of the respective races for the title and fourth is winding down.
It has been a pretty tough couple of weeks for the club and it's followers, rather like being winded in the playground as a child, there is a lot of built up emotion but very little one can do about it.
There has been a lot going on over the past few weeks with regard to our clubs shareholdings and in particular the movements of Stan Kroneke. I have written the following reply on another website and thought I should share it here as well.
Putting my Corporate Financiers hat on once more for the season.....there are a number of reasons that Stan may have taken his holding up to the current level and not all mean that he is poised for a take-over.
I've recently posted a number of replies to a thread questioning the financial stability of the football club. The posts have been quite well received so I have edited them into an article below.
Whilst many Gooners are lamenting the loss of players this summer being disproportionate to the amount of fresh blood coming in, it is worth considering how our relative position in Europe’s top league has been affected.
Having received a copy of the Adebayor sale brochure this morning, I must confess to having a small giggle at the parody of Michael Owen’s sales pitch, albeit successful.
What a difference a year makes? Last year we sat reading the same reconstituted back page stories time and time again, waiting for something to happen. This year things could not have started more quickly with two world record transfer bids in under a week and the rumour of two or three more to come between the super rich European clubs.
